Sanctions filter identifies past cases of UN sanctions based on key characteristics of interest, such as sanctions' objectives, purposes, types, potential impact, effectiveness, and the presence of other sanctions or policy instruments. The interactive tool can be used to search through both terminated and ongoing cases of UN sanctions or to identify the most fitting analogies to contemporary situations. More than one filter can be applied per category, and the various filters can be combined across different categories to narrow down the results as needed.
